Planning a destination wedding in Mexico can be exciting, stimulating, fun and yes, scary. You have to first trust your instincts, your decisions, your heart, and then extend that trust to the team you have selected to lead your wedding planning and design. Like with everything else in your life, you have to know what you want in order to say no to the noise of a very loud marketing platform. You open a magazine and one wedding is more beautiful than the other, you see blogs and one post is cuter than the other. The list goes on, Instagram, Facebook, your best friend’s wedding, you name it. There will always be beautiful things out there.
When it comes to their own wedding though, I encourage my clients to take a trip inside themselves, to be honest and to answer the right questions. What is this wedding about for you? What makes you happy? How do you want to feel? How do you want to remember it? Only after answering those questions, go and find some source of inspiration, only then go and see what colors make you feel the way you want to feel.
Once you are clear on those feelings, the path will be easy, you will select the right wedding vendors, the right team, the wedding planner that hears you and sees you. Knowing what matters to you, will clear the path of the things that are not important and decisions will flow. That is my wish to you.
